This is one of our most popular layouts for couples and small families, particularly for those who value space and everyday convenience. The standout feature is the permanently made-up fixed rear double bed, positioned at a normal bed height and accessed from both sides — no ladders, no bed conversions, and no need to pack it away during the day.

The fixed-bed layout also creates excellent storage capacity. With generous cupboards and storage under the bed, this motorhome is ideal for longer trips where staying organised and clutter-free really matters.

Despite being a 4-berth, the interior space is comparable to many 6-berth motorhomes. If you’ve been considering a larger vehicle purely for extra room, this layout is a serious contender — offering the same sense of space without the additional size or unused beds.

The front lounge is formed by swivelling both cab seats to face the dinette, creating a bright and comfortable social and dining area. A second double bed above the cab allows two people to sleep while the dinette and lounge remain fully usable. In total, the motorhome sleeps four across two proper double beds.

Kitchen & living space

The kitchen is well suited to extended touring and includes a near full-size fridge with a separate freezer compartment — ideal for longer stays between grocery stops.

Cooking facilities include a three-burner gas hob and a combined oven and grill, allowing you to cook comfortably even when camping away from electric hook-up. There is good food storage throughout, and we supply all pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, utensils, and a kettle as standard.

Beyond the kitchen, the front lounge area is spacious and comfortable, with a TV/DVD and swivelling cab seats that help create an open, sociable living space during the day.

Washroom & storage

The separate washroom is positioned mid-vehicle opposite the kitchen and features a toilet, wash basin, and a full-size separate shower — offering far more comfort than the compact wet-rooms found in smaller vehicles.

A wardrobe located beside the washroom provides convenient storage for clothing and towels, helping keep the living area clear and organised.

Off-grid & touring flexibility

As with all Atlas motorhomes, the onboard systems are designed to operate when wild camping. This makes the C71 particularly well suited to travellers who want the freedom to explore further afield or enjoy a few days away from campsites while still travelling in comfort.

Exterior

As with all our vehicles, this motorhome can be driven on a standard UK car licence. At 7.3 metres long, it remains well suited to touring Scotland and the rest of the UK, offering generous interior space without feeling unwieldy on the road.

The low-profile front end helps reduce drag and contributes to good fuel efficiency for a motorhome of this size, typically around 32–35 mpg. Combined with power-assisted steering, the vehicle feels light and comfortable to drive, making longer journeys relaxed and enjoyable.

A rear-view camera makes manoeuvring and parking straightforward. Externally, there is easy access to the large storage area beneath the fixed rear bed, ideal for outdoor gear or folding furniture. This space can also be accessed from inside the motorhome.

The exterior gas locker accommodates two gas bottles, providing reassurance on longer trips and when touring more remote areas.

As with all Atlas vehicles, the main habitation door is on the passenger (safe) side, allowing easy and secure access from the kerbside.
