Strathpuffer 24 hour mountain bike endurance event
Many people are still in training for the the start of the 2015 Strathpuffer mountain bike event. This is not for the lighthearted or those who like a gentle ride out on their bikes. Not only does it take place in the heart of winter but runs at a gruelling pace over a 24 hour period.
The event runs over a 11km circuit, in the woods near Strathpeffer in the Scottish Highlands. It’s about 30 minutes from Inverness and 3hr 30mins from Glasgow.
In a relatively short period of time – 8 years – the event has attracted riders from all over the world. Recently listed in the US Bike magazines top 10 toughest Mountain Bike Event on the planet – this is one for the to do list.
Riders can register as solos, pairs or teams of 4.
We are always busy with motorhome hire and campervan rental during the Strathpuffer weekend. All our vehicles for this event come with bike racks, decent showers, heating and hot water. Fridge freezers and hob/grill/oven will ensure all the choices to keep the food intake where it should be. There are plenty of areas to park up the motorhome or campervan on site.
